Labour’s Windmill Hill Candidates:
Aileen has lived in South Bristol for 34 years, on the Hill for 12. She joined Labour to oppose NHS privatisation and inequality, for an economy that works for all. She has worked in the public sector for 35 years, as a midwife then analyst for the NHS.
Aileen has pressed for responsible development in council and wants to give local people a stronger voice. She has been a council volunteer throughout the pandemic.
We would be active and visible in the ward working with local organisations and business – pushing for improved air quality, better transport, jobs and skills development, more affordable homes and protections for renters.
Ted is a history teacher and NEC Union Representative, a key worker through the pandemic, supporting children, teachers and families. Ted joined the Labour Party to fight the horrendous cuts that he’s seen to our education system and public services since 2010.
He studied here in 1990s and moved to Windmill Hill in 2016. He wants to stand up for people who don’t have a voice, be someone they can turn to and champion better education in Bristol.
